Some TPE products (such as encapsulated ABS, PC, PA, etc.) have high requirements on the appearance gloss of the surface of the product. In order to avoid possible residual moisture in the TPE particles, volatilization during molding leads to gas in the product. Grain, which affects the appearance, it is recommended to do baking treatment before molding. For the TPE sales staff, it is more necessary for the new customers of the first sample to obtain the sample effect that satisfies the customer.

2. TPE material that has not been used up and packaged in time after opening is recommended for baking

The rubber compound is not packaged in time after opening. If the relative humidity of the warehouse environment is high, it may cause the TPE particles to exceed the moisture content. At this time, baking treatment before molding is necessary.

Generally, the TPE / TPR of the SEBS substrate is higher than the TPE / TPR baking material of the SBS substrate, and the TPE / TPR baking material with high hardness is higher than the TPE and TPR with low hardness.

For TPE and TPR with lower hardness (below 60A), the recommended baking temperature is 60 ~ 80 ℃, and the baking time is 2 hours.

For TPE and TPR with higher hardness (above 60A), the recommended material temperature is 80 ~ 90 ℃ and the baking time is 2 hours.

For some TPEs used for extrusion and single-material injection, baking is not required. Usually the TPE water absorption rate is only about 0.5%, if the product appearance gloss and other requirements are not very high, there is no need to bake the material.
