MXD6
MXD6 (Polyamide MXD6) is a semi-aromatic polyamide produced by polycondensation of m-xylylenediamine and adipic acid, combining the toughness of aliphatic nylons with the high rigidity of aromatic nylons. MXD6 is known for its outstanding gas barrier properties (especially O2 and CO2) that do not degrade at high temperature and humidity, while glass-fiber reinforced grades (50–60%) achieve strength and stiffness comparable to cast metals.

Outstanding gas barrier: excellent O2/CO2 barrier, no degradation at high T/humidity
High stiffness & strength: GF-reinforced (50–60%) comparable to cast metals
Good high-temp performance: heat resistance up to 225°C (GF-reinforced)
High flow: can fill 0.5mm thin walls even at 60% GF
Outstanding dimensional stability: CTE of GF grades close to metals
Good surface quality: high gloss, suitable for painting & metal plating
Good chemical resistance: oils & solvents
