Lamination is a common problem in the injection molding process of plastic products, which refers to the laminar fracture at the glue mouth, resulting in structural defects or product strength reduction.
First, the reason for the lamination of the plastic mouth in injection molding
1, the injection molding process problems: injection speed, pressure, temperature and cooling time and other parameters are set improperly, will affect the formation of the rubber mouth, resulting in stratification. Poor plasticization may also lead to delamination.
2. Mold design problems: improper location, quantity and size of the mold inlet will affect the flow of plastics in the mold, resulting in delamination.
3, material problems: poor quality of raw materials, such as plastic particles containing impurities, moisture, etc., will affect the quality of plastics, resulting in delamination. The compatibility of the mixing system is not enough, such as strong polar materials, materials with large solubility parameters difference, but also prone to peeling stratification, especially at the gate position.
Second, how to solve the problem of injection molding mouth stratification?
1, improve the injection molding process: the injection speed and pressure are properly reduced during molding to reduce shear friction.
2, reasonable design mold: to ensure that the plastic in the injection molding process can flow smoothly and evenly. Appropriately increase the size of the glue inlet to reduce the influence of shear rate change on the melt.
3, choose the right materials: choose high-quality raw materials, fillers, avoid impurities, do baking dehydration treatment in advance. In the formulation, materials with large solubility differences are not used, and the amount of strong polar components is appropriately reduced or compatibilizers such as grafted SEBS are added to improve compatibility.
